Its a 1996 Honda 50hp with close to 5000 hours and still runs like a clock. Even with water/oil right to the top of the dip stick.
I changed the head gasket in hopes that was the problem. I'm still probably getting a cup of water for 4 hours trolling.
I know the compression is down to 95 psi. I don't buy water getting by the rings when the thermostat sticks open. I have seen that in another post. That's called "making oil" as fuel is what leaks into the crankcase.
