My Clymers manual shows a tan

My Clymers manual shows a tan wire going from the power pack to one side of a blocking diode.

The manual also shows a brown wire going from each of the temperature sensors going to the same side of the blocking diode.

My engine is a 1998 Johnson 130.

Do I have a separate blocking diode somewhere?

And does it have two purple wires associated with it (the only blocking diode I have found on the web shows two purple wires only).

"the blocking diodes are usual

"the blocking diodes are usually in the main harness, within a cpl feet of engine...for the exact location,i'd have to look it up...not much prob w/it...what is going on that u want to mess w/it?"

"I’m tracing a short circuit i

"I’m tracing a short circuit in the ignition switch circuit, the yellow/red and purple wires in particular.

I’ve a Clymers manual that has proven to be inaccurate as far as the tan wiring diagram routing is concerned. It has a tan wire going directly from the power pack to the diode with no connector in the line.

The block diode that shows up on the internet has two purple wires attached.

And I am not sure that my harness has a block diode."
