"corrosion between crankcase and cylinder liner has gone thru to the water jacket causing raw water to squirt out into the engine case.
has anyone had a similar experience, is there a known remedy?

I've never enco

"Hi Paul,
I've never encountered this and I don't have any useful remedy for this engine other tnan if it is in an accessable area of the block, a master TIG welder might be able to patch it and then off to the machine shop.

I'm guessing this motor had a crapload of hours in salt and maybe poor/no flush maintenance.

There is an anode in the cooling system that helps mitigate galvanic corrosion but I don't know too many people that replace them...except me on my little fleet."
