The Q-jet Carb requires a 3/8 " fuel line?
The 2bbl carb uses the 5/16 line."

"That's good. I just bought a brass ball valve to act as an anti-syphon valve. The way I figure it, I need to get into the engine room to check the oil and the fuel tank is right there as well. It sure wont cost me any effort to reach over and turn the fuel on manually."

I was pretty quite sure that the line was 3/8, just needed confirmation. It's been about 20 years since I ran a Chevy with a Q-jet.
