Can anyone tell me where to lo

Can anyone tell me where to look for the ID number on a Mercruiser 454???

It Depends on

It Depends on Which # you're Looking for.....

Mercruiser's #s should be on a little aluminum tag rivited to the side of the block,...
Just ahead of the Starter.....

GM's Casting #s are on the Top/Back of the Block, Just behind the Port-side Head, on the little horizontal surface, right next to the Flywheel Cover......aka. the Bellhousing Flange.....
And,...
The GM Head Casting #s are Under the Valve Covers, on the Top of the Heads....."
