I just bought a boat and I am

I just bought a boat and I am trying to winterize it. It has a Mercruiser Alpha One outdrive A532114 but I cannot identify the engine. I have looked all over for tags and cannot identify it. It is a V-8. How can I identify the engine so I can get parts for it?

"Troy, It is likely a Chevy 30

"Troy, It is likely a Chevy 305(5.0L) or 350(5.7L) if its a small bock. There will be a serial number on the rear port side of the block, which may help. A Mercruiser dealer should be able to assist. All the v-engines winterize the same."

"I looked on the rear port and

"I looked on the rear port and other side of the block and cannot find anything. do you have any recommendations for dealers, I live in the sticks. Also, is it better to just drain the water out of the engine or replace it with RV anitfreeze?"

"Is the distributor on the fro

"Is the distributor on the front of the engine or the back? Front =ford, back = chevy. How many plug wires are on the distributor cap?"

"You have an old Ford,...
It

"You have an old Ford,...
It could be a 302, or a 351.......

I just Drain ALL the water from My boat,+ it's Engine.......

Antifreeze is a Marketing ploy by the Marinas to Boost the Bottomline......
A Waste of Time,+ Money.......

After All,........ It's water that Freezes......
Air just Doesn't Freeze..........."
