I have pulled the engines from

I have pulled the engines from my 79 Sea Ray which are Chrys 360's to have them rebuilt over the winter. The present oil pan does not have a drain plug in it and I have to suck the oil out the dip stick when I change oil. I would like to install an oil change system in both engines. Does anyone have a source for oil pans for these engines with a drain plub or will I have to fabracate a new plug for the present oil pans?

"You'd have to pull the aluminum pan, get an area MIG welded up enough for threading a hole, then go with the remote drain system.

"Thanks for the information,thats what I thought I would have to do but you never know unless you ask. Now is the time to do this with both engines out and being rebuilt.
