How does the choke operate on

How does the choke operate on the new Yamahas. Is it solenoid operated or or some sort of analog operation. Is it fully automatic or is it operated by the start key. This is not the traditional choke that you could hear click and had a toggle switch at the remote control. Any help would be surely appreciated

this motor may not even have a choke at all my 2oo1 90 hp doesn't have a choke and after it sets for a few days it is really hard to start for the first time they have some kind of fuel enrichment system that is not worth a crap!
 
there are two electric chokes

there are two electric chokes on your 40hp the chokes are automatic getting voltage when engine is running voltage is used to open chokes and keep open. when engine is not running chokes move to closed position. if you are having trouble starting try putting it in gear and pump throttle 3-4 times return to nuetral and start. the four carbs also have accelerator pumps
