Lack of cooling water in Suzuki 2 horse power

"I have a Suzuki 2 horse power

"I have a Suzuki 2 horse power outboard engine on a Leisure 17 yacht, which isn't used very often, and which seizes after 10 minutes running. I have taken the cylinder head off, waterways clear, lower leg off, impeller is okay, but only a wisp of hot water comes out of port for 10 mins and then seizes. Can anyone help?"

"Ok so you know that there is a problem with the cooling water flow,all that remains to find is where. Connect your motor to a water supply using muffs. If water flow is ok then you have a problem with the water pump. If its not then its the waterways. Common causes debris or marine growth in the passages or another common one is the water tube is not inserted into the pump housing when the lower leg is reinstalled or a missing/damaged seal at the same place. let us know if it runs on muffs. good luck"
