And it might be of help to others.
I got a 250cid Block I thought was going to be a ANCHOR. First get a Good Machine Shop to look over your Block. And have all cylinders Sonic Tested for thickness. Not all blocks will pass.
The Min cyl wall thickness for a 250cid Inline 6 engine is (Piston Pin end side.125) (Thrust side .250) And this block can be Bored out Max to 4.00 And you can use 327 Pistons.
At 4.00 Bore with 327 pistons you would have a 266cid engine.

If your going out in saltwater stay with Standard Bore 3.875 Meaning Brand New engine.
Im just going in Fresh water lakes around Texas.
And I dont need to run Wide open."
