"Gary.... If that wire is a few inches back from the main red electrical plug, protruding out of the engine wiring harness, it is in all probability more tan than brown. If so, that would be the sensor portion (Connection) that would lead to the oil tank if a VRO pump existed on the engine. Many different engines (VRO & Regular fuel pump types) used the same wiring harness.
