My 07 25 hp is leaking fuel fr

My 07 25 hp is leaking fuel from a port next to the pisser on the side of the engine. Runs poorly as well as causing gas to laeak into water. Carbs O/H in March of this year. Treat the gas with fuel stabilzer. Late date of operation was about a month ago.
 
Could be that a carburater flo

Could be that a carburater float valve has failed or stuck open. Gas would overflow and drain out a case drain and engine would run poorly due to over-rich mixture.

Disconected fuel line while flushing and too long later, found one float varnished to bottom of float bowl.

Since then, I have used stabilizer in fuel.

I would not consider it a common problem, but your discription fits.

Run with cover off and you should see it."
