"Is there a reliable method to winterize a 454 merc, with a bravo outdrive, without doing the draw in gravity feed antifreeze through water muffs on the outdrive while the engine is running??"

Reliable? Manually draining everything and pouring it in. Should have 2 drains for the block, a drain for each manifold. The riser may drain with the manifold ."
 
There is a long tubular cooler

There is a long tubular cooler mounted along the bottom of the engine. I thought that was and engine oil cooler?

So drain both sides of the engine and the manifolds and fill with antifreeze and should be good to go?

"Follow the 2 small lines and see if they go to the ps pump,
1 Flush and fog the engine untill it stalls
2 remove block and manifold drains and probe with something small to make sure they drain.
3 remove the large hose from the top of the therm houosing ,bend it down to drain, pour in the A/F untill it comes out the top,replace hose
4 remove manifold hoses from the therm housing, pour A/F in untill it comes out the exaust.
5 remove drains from "cool fuel" or P/S cooler by removing a lower hose to let drain , reinstall hose/plug.also make sure some A/f is put in the raw water pump housing
