Is through hull exaust for a 5.0L engine a good upgrade besides the fact of punching holes in your hull?

"Depends on what you are trying to gain, IMO.
If you do this.... Layout, layout and more layout before you cut any holes.
If the AQ 225 mana/risers are to be used, the Y pipe will need to be removed and a plate placed on the transom shield outlet opening.
The Y pipe will have a value on e-Bay.
