I have read the new proceedure

I have read the new proceedure that mercruiser wants in terms of winterizing their mpi engines. i.e. mixing in 5 gal 2 quarts of 2 cycle outboard oil and stabelizer and running it through the engine. I have spoken to another merc mechanic and he states that this method will not completle cover the valves and he has seen valves that are damaged in the spring by this approach. His method is to shoot the fogging mis through the throttle body wile reving the engine. My question is will the shooting of the fogging fluid through the throttle body do damage to the sensors in the throttle body?. This is the firstyear that I have owned an inboard MPI engine and I am interested in the winterizing process.
