Does anyone know what size the

Does anyone know what size the nut is on the bottom of the drive shart on my Alpha MR outdrive. I beleive without purchasing the correct tool I can grind a spanner down and make it fit. I just need to know what size it is ?????
 
If you are speaking of the nut

If you are speaking of the nut that holds the pinion gear in the lower gear case it is 7/8"

If it is not please take a pic and post.

"does aneyone know where to get a pin puller 4 my gimbel housing, ive gotten 2 pin pullers they said would work but they do not, $24.00 a pice i have a 87 mericruser 120 they are a fiber pin with a screw hole in middle outside diameter is about size of a dime"
