"I have a 2002 Yamaha 225 4 stroke, approx 700 hrs, started noticing a fine oil slick caused by oil coming from where water come out (tell tail, lower end outlets etc) when flushing.

Sure this must be a sign of something gone wrong. Engine oil looks fine and lower end oil has no sign of water. Where could this oil be getting into the cooling system from?"

Re: Oil slick when fushing

I have a 2003 F225B with the exact same issue. I also have been told that it is from the exhaust but am skeptical of that. How does exhaust oil get into cooling system and then come out of Tell Tale. Plus, this is not a 2-cycle engine. It is in the shop now and they are researching. Did you ever find the real cause of your issue? Thanks in advance for any help you can offer.
