I keep having to put mor drive oil in every 30 minutes

"i have a mariah talari that has a Mercruiser engine and I just refilled my drive oil and the oil is leaking or being used up very quickly. i fill it to the full line and about 30 minutes of running the oil is just about completely gone and then my alrm censore would go off. How do i fix or check what the problem could be, please let me know thanks Mike"

"If you dont have a puddle in

"If you dont have a puddle in the bilge under the bottle, then follow the hose till it goes through the transom, then look on the outside of the boat you'll see another hose then were it goes into the gimbal housing.

If it's not leaking there, you either have a leaking seal at the prop shaft or somewhere else, like at the top of the driveshaft housing, leaking into where the u-joints are.

Have you ever noticed an oil sheen on the water when running your boat ?

Could be some fishing line wrapped around your prop shaft cutting into the prop shaft seal causing a leak, can also be a leak at the seal between the drives, or anyone of the other seals on the outdrive."
