What is the difference between

What is the difference between a 75 hp and 90 hp engine? Can I just change the carbs on my 1999 engine and get 90 hp? Or are there other differences?

Look them up on boats.net and you will likely see different part numbers.

"Well I didn't look though the whole Honda service manual, but all but one of the carb jets are different sizes.

Don't know about ECM programming, or anything"
 
According to the parts lists, the only difference is the carbs.

Did you find out if you could switch them; what were your results?
