"This looks like the kit to repair our fuel pumps on the Merc 470 Carter pumps. This is an article on how to rebuild a Ford Carter pump and the parts look just like what is in mine. The link to AMK in the article has the kit for $35. Anyone try this yet? Thinking I might try it if no one else has.

Interesting thought but that fuel pump doesn't look anything like mine. I believe the pump is a Mercruiser exclusive.
