I have a 2001 Monterey 262 CR, equipped with a 496 Mag and Merc drive. The last few times we've used the boat, two loud alert beeps are emitted from the cockpit while under way at cruising speed, but not at any specific RPM. The temp gauge reads normal, as does the gas, electric, RPM, oil, and every other indicator available. It'll beep twice at a time in odd intervals and then after a few times it stops entirely, all on its own. The Merc manual didn't say anything about this sort of warning so I'm wondering if someone knows what the issue is. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance!
