I just recently had my port engine fuel tank pumped and cleaned due to sediment clogging up the past three water fuel separators. After having the tank cleaned they replaced all fuel filters in the port motor thinking that would fix the problem. The boat is brand new with twin 2009 150 four stroke. The port motor is burning 1 1/2 gal per hr more than Stbd. Can the motor actually be burning this much more or do the gauges just be calibrated??

Are you running the tach's

Are you running the tach's even? I am asking because my friend came to me with the exact same problem with his 2008 SeaCat and the problem ended up being that he always ran with the throtle levers even and not his RPM's. His port motor is always running 500 to 750 RPM's faster and he burns about 25% or 30% more fuel on that side.

No I always watch my gauges and running the same RPM's. I heard back from the Suzuki tech today and he said that a 1 1/2 gas/hr is acceptable on a counter rotating prop. Does this sound accurate??
