I have 502 cid crusaders they

I have 502 cid crusaders they race up and down until I raise the rpm's to 1200.I have holly carbs.Any idea's.I was thinking I should raise idle.

"raise the idle to 1200 and you better order a rebuild for your gear - it won't survive shifting at that rpm.

check the mounting nuts and make sure they are tight. if ok, i'd start with a vacuum gauge and make sure you don't have any leaks. The idle mixture screws could have backed out. The floats may have picked up some fuel or the needle and seat could be leaking or dirty."
