"Hi Everybody,I have 502 CID Crusaders with holly carbs, my port engine is racing up and down at idle.I have to raise RPM's to 1200 to smooth it out.Any idea's.I was thinking I should raise idle."
 
"Sounds like a possible vacuum

"Sounds like a possible vacuum leak. CAREFULLY spray some carb cleaner around the base of the carb while it's doing this and see if the idle speed changes. If it does, try to pinpoint the spot where it does it. Then find out why.

Note: Open all the hatches and have that blower running!
