Pump problem 1987 cobra 57

Hi all im new to the I/O world

Hi all im new to the I/O world and i have a chevy 350 with a cobra 1987 and it keeps burning up water pumps i put the ears on and burnt it up got a new one put the the drive down in a 30 gallon water tub burnt up another one.It just wont pull water from the bottom to the pump.I have a flush out on the hose on the motor and i can run water through the top down no restrictions so i just dont understand why it wont pump up ive replaced all the pump parts please help

"Have you tried pulling the inlet hose loose at the t-stat housing and flushing water back to the pump? Could have blockage there. If the pump cant move water it will get hot. While your at it, pull the t-sat housing and make sure it's not gunked up inside."

yep ive done all the normalthings i think i figured it out i have a well so i dont think i have enough pressure to get water to the pump i have to push in on the ears to get it up to the pump so i just got it back together so i got my fingers crossed
