Prop seal drive kit from Mercstuffcom Anyone Use B4

I have a 1984 2.5L alpha one d

I have a 1984 2.5L alpha one drive which had fishline tear the prop seal.
I would like to replace the seals w/o removing the carrier if possible.
Has anyone used this method? Or will the carrier have to be removed?
Any tips advice would be great. I have the manual downloaded.

"Some have a tool or made one that slides over the prop shaft and is threaded to cut into the seal and draw it out, other than that carrier removal is the only other option"
