If your distributor is t

"Hi,
If your distributor is the Delco EST model you may have a bad pickup coil in the distributor. You will have to remove the distributor and remove the drive gear off the shaft to replace it.
Also make sure that the distributor is turning while cranking. You may have a drive gear issue. Have you checked the voltage at the coil?"

The way it is usually done is as follows; place the probe of a test lite on the neg side of the coil.connect the alligator clip end of the test lite to eng. grnd. The lite should flash during cranking if the p/u coil and it's wiring is ok."
