I need to replace the sensors

I need to replace the sensors on my 898s but the sierra manual doesn't give clear directions. Does anyone have a helpfull way to get to the bolt that seals the wires going throw the aft of the boat inside the gimbal area ? Thanks KW

"The newer type of sensors have the wires molded into the sensor housing and you have to route these through the transom behind the gimball,not an easy job.
If the wires from the old sensors are still ok then you can cut these at the sensor and solder the new wires to the old ones, seal the solder connections with schrink hose and ready.
(just my 2ct)"
