2002 ox66 250hp stalls after heats up

my motor will start up fine bu

my motor will start up fine but after running for a while it dies and wont restart until sitting for 10 minutes or so.The problem happens sometimes 5 minutes of running or 1 hour of running.Because of the unpredictability of the problem occuring it is frustrating to diagnose. My mechenic has changed fuel pump but problem still remains.

"suggest you try an ole electronic trick, get some type of cool spray, sold at electronic stores, maybe radio shack or mouser, spray the ignition coil packs and see if it restarts, something gets hot and dies, worth a try."
 
I had that problem on a comple

I had that problem on a completely different motor (1990 Evinrude 120HP) and it turned out to be the stator.
