"Hi, I have a '08 Regal 1900 with Merc 3.0 litre engine.
The boat is used in salt water, was used for about 40 hours last season, and it is run through with fresh water after every outing.
Halfway though last season engine didn't warm up to operating temp, originally though it was the temp gauge, however when it went to be winterised it was found to be the thermostat that was faulty, it had seized up.
Thermostat was changed and now the same thing has happened again. To make sure this didn't happened this season I am running it through on fresh water for about 6-8minutes everytime. I reckon it has seized again,
Does anyone else have this problem and what can I do to stop it happening again after probably another new thermostat.
