30 dont idle when warm

"Just rebuilt my 3.0 mercruise

"Just rebuilt my 3.0 mercruiser and it runs like a top except when its get warmed up it dosent want to idle. When it is cold it idles fine, it even idles fine when it is at home with the hose hooked up but when it get warmed up it begins to idle rough and i have to give it throdle to keep it going. Choke is fully open and Checked timing, it has new plugs, wires, cap and rotor. any ideas????????"
 
Idle speed should be about 650

Idle speed should be about 650 RPMs in gear on the water w/engine warm. Idle mixture may be too rich. Go thru the idle mixture adjustment procedure again.
 
Engine warm; if you have a vac

Engine warm; if you have a vacuum gauge it is easier to tell when the engine starts to stumble. Turn the mixture screw SLOWLY inward until the engine begins to stumble; note the screw head position. Turn the screw outward until the same stumble begins; note screw head posion. Divide the tow stumble point in two and turn the screw to that point.
