"Hi, I am using my grandfathers 1972 IMP Aztec. It sat for a period of about 5 years, and we have used it twice last year and 4-5 times this year. We have been having issues with the motor starting, and with it starting but then dying when we put it in gear. We are thinking that we have an issue with bad gas maybe, but we have also put about 30 gal. in this year and it is a 40 gal. tank. Some days it will run fantastic with no issues. Others it will start, run well, then not start after being beached for a few hours. Any ideas? How long would bad gas float around the tank? If I drain the gas, what can I do with it? My wife and sister and I really want to get this great boat back into running smoothly. Thanks for any suggestions."
