"My 1989 3.7 Liter, 165 HP Mercruiser Stern Drive runs great for about ten minutes. After that it sputters, continues to lose power, and hesitates big time. So far, to try to resolve this, it has been tuned up with new plugs, points, wire harness, distributor cap, etc. & the gas is fresh. When shifted back into neutral, the engine revs fine…put it in gear with a load & the sputter, loss of power returns. Any thoughts?? Thanks!"
