"I have a 31 Wellcraft with twin counter rotating 350 / 250 hp chevy engines with v drives that perform very poorly, and would like to replace with diesel and have access to inexpensive twin TAMD 40'S.
Do you have any idea on the difficulty on matching these engines to my boat?"

The added weight at the stern?
The loss of rpm range to give you speed.
You will need both PT (290 drives?) and duoprops to get on plane, and most likely a set of trim tabs with the size of a barn door!"
