Due to pieces and parts being

Due to pieces and parts being somewhat scarce for my antique barge I thought I might pick up some spares off ebay. I have located a bell house that is the right price but it is listed as NR. Other pieces are listed as "no reserve".
Would someone please educate me as to what the term "no reserve" refers to? Searching the board didnt enlighten me. The four manuals I have do not address this term. Thanks in advance.

Thanks for the clarification on that. At least this wasnt a total waste. I did read several chapters on Mercruisers. I think it may be time for some rest.
