"I've noticed that the tube on the back is not straight down from the transom,but on a angle back.Could this give me variable speed readings as I'm seeing this at the same rpm's?Thanks in advance"

"Back angle is typical, variable speed readings at same RPM is dependant on trim angle, max trim before prop blow out i've seen give fastest speed, but if the boat is trimmed down same RPM could be 10mph slower. Thats part of the learning of what trim angle is best for certain conditions, boat weight(people, gear) water conditions, glass, choppy, swells etc.. Ok?"
