lets see if we can fix this one.
i have a 1987 dt 75 suzuki it has been overhauled all new oem gaskets and seals. new water pump and water tube. carbs cleaned with kits . motor runs great and pleanty of water flow out the pee hole and back wash but motor still gets hot seta alarm off at 170 degrees with a laser temp gun.the thermo stat is new it is the lowest range they offer.took motor all back apart followed cooling system from water pump to head no blockage and compared old gaskets to new ones all matched. help

We have the same engin and had the same problem.
We changed every thing we could think of. Finaly my son found the gasket between the exhaust and wat}er inlet was blown. It was super heating the water as it came in. Hope this helps.
