Honda bf40 no alarm

I have a 1999 Honda bf40. With

I have a 1999 Honda bf40. With the remote control to the right if the steering wheel. I just purchased this boat and fixed it up. Is there supposed to be an audible alarm as well as the green light on top of the control?? If so how can I test it? I did try running it with the muffs on and the motor tilted up. No alarm?

"The green light should be on

"The green light should be on if your oil pressure is good while the engine is running. The red light only lights if there is an overheat. See a posting further down titled 90 HP oil and temp lamps on 8/8/09. I go into nausiating detail on how to test. Both motors work the same when it comes to these lamps.

As to no alarm when tilted up, some of the older BF40s did have an audible alarm if you had it in gear and tilted motor too high (out of the water) while it was running, I am not sure if yours has that feature."
