I have twin 4.3Gi I/Os and aft
I have twin 4.3Gi I/Os and after the boat was up for repair for 18 months the throttle was very stiff (almost impossible to move. I replaced the throttle cables and it helped a bit but the biggest problem was that after giving gas the engines would not return to idle. Following help from other posts I removed the throttle cables from the throttle arm on the engines and tried to move the arms manually. They were very difficult to move. I used heavy doses of pentrating oil on the arm and on the butterflies under the flame arrestors. I managed to release the starboard engine 99.9% but no luck with the port engine. Can anyone suggest a next step/permanent fix? I'm not a mechanic but can do most things given step by step guidance.
