i noticed yesterday on my 84 4

i noticed yesterday on my 84 470 that my steering wheel is to the left in relation to my outdrive if my leg is straight then my wheel is off should i tackle trying to straighten this by the cable in the rear its not hydrolic or should i just nevermind it the cable was new 2 years ago and its a morse cable so i cant see it wearing out over 20 uses

"well.. depending on how much adjustment is needed. Depending on the steering helm, if it's a rotary you can remove the cable, turn the steering slightly, let the helm gears grab and pull it back in. Some wheels also have 2 other KEY positions to use."
