"I did 3 hours on the 9.8 4 stroke Tohatsu on Chataqua Lake Sunday, my 14 foot aluminum fishing boat screams!!! At less than 1/2 throttle, I was going almost 10 mph. Tried just under 3/4 throttle after 2 hours, close to 17 mph!!! Much faster than the 4 hp Evinrude I was using previously. I did use the FC-W 10W-30 oil.
This is a very nice engine!!! My father in Law said it was the best engine he ever owned; errr, had access to. Can't wait to see what it does full out!!!
