I have 2 engine start batteries and 1 house/acces. battery.

"Joe I don't know what makes more sense OFFICIALLY but on my 34, there are 4 pumps ...we use 4 starting batteries and 3 batteries for the inverter/charger. 2 pumps are wired to one set of batteries and the other 2 are on the other set of batteries..AND it was a good thing.

Recently, a dashboard overide switch went bad and in our absence, 2 pumPs ran day and night for about 5 days. Fortunately the charger picked up on the problem abd kept re-charging the 2 batteries.

The week before ...we had no shore power....if all 4 were drawing from the 1 bank, our batteries would be nearly gone with no replenishment. Had we needed the pumps for any reason......Yikes!"

The redundancy offered by Al&#

The redundancy offered by Al's setup is worth the effort to change the wiring.
