"come on someone out there must have some ideas its a 5 horsepower outboard that will not idle down far enough to troll,i have tried a bucket but this leads to other problems,i have tried to find a trolling plate that will fit but no luck there either

"I've seen a small di-cast spring loaded trolling plate made years ago. So they are out there, by now you will probably have to build one from plate and cabinet hinges. Could you up-load some close up pics of your motor- maybe we can recognize some parts. "Parson" was that a British or Canadian brand?
