"Have only 2400 hours on the engine. Was in the middle of a 5 day trip and upon going down to check the oil in the morning found about 3 quarts water (salt)under the engine as it had drained through the oil breather. I changed the oil and turned it over for about a minute. The new oil was milky as well but not as bad. Changed the oil and had the boat towed home (4 hours) The attachment that bolts onto the end of the manifold and to which the exhaust attachs had cracked. Replaced it and had no problems. Went on the second leg of the trip, 10 hours into it had the same problem although only about 1 pt water in the oil. (Had trolled with the boat for about an hour before anchoring). Changed the oil in the anchorage and ran it for a couple hours at 1000 RPM, no problem. Ran the boat home without a problem. How would the water get back through the exhaust into the oil?"
