"Anyone with a '70's Century Coronado, M440 engine: What prop are you running, and how do you like it? Thanks."

"Larry,

We have a Federal R14-15 Nibral cupped. Works good out of the hole and has decent top end. I have thought about moving to a 14-16 or 17 for a little more top end but we have some wake boarders in the family. I can get 4 boarders up no problem. It will run top-end 40-43 at 4200 rpms. FYI they perfer the Century's wake over the wake of new Mastercraft my buddy just bought. Nice"

"I have probably your exact boat. with 14 x 15, it ran OK but above the recommended 4000 top RPM. I switched to a 14 x 17 and top rpm is now 3850- but significantly higher MPH at the 2-2500 RPM range. If I had it to do over, I'd select a 14 x 16- hard to find, but available."

Most good prop rebuild/repair

Most good prop rebuild/repair shops can change the pitch of a prop by an 1" for waaaay less than the cost of a new one.
