NS18E Canbt find any info

"I just bought a great running 18 HP tiller for my jon boat. Problem is I have looked everywhere for the model number (NS18E) and can't find a thing. Any idea on the year or a model number it might be comparable too so that I can order parts? My local dealer told me there was no such thing, but its plain as day on the side of my engine. Any help would be appreciated."

"The NS18E is a valid model. You can download a free copy of the parts catalog from www.internetoutboards.com (just follow the link on the opening page to the parts catalogs). You'll see both a Nissan and Tohatsu 18E 2-stroke catalog. They are same motor (just different decals/brand names). You can also download a free owner's manual from the Nissan Mairne website (www.nissanmarine.com). To find out the model year, go to the Nissan Marine website and choose the "contact us" page, then select the "Model year" option from the choices. You'll need to know the serial # of the motor in order to determine to the model year."
