Could any one tell me how to set a electric choke
on a 1986 2 barrel Mercruiser carb. Boat is a 4.3
runs great after i get it to start. restarts fine when warmed up.

"tricky question, motor has to be cold ,key off. you loosen the 3 screws and turn the element.to set the plate you use a 1/8th in drill bit as a spacer and turn the element so the choke closes .then tighten the 3 screws
with ign on ,plate shoud start opening slowly"
