"Ok-
Now that I have confirmed that a block I pick up from a auto junk yard will work in place of my original marine block, I am wondering if it would be correct for me to assume that basically any 1997 4.3L engine block would work for me.
(Astro Van, Jimmy Blazer, S-10, ect....)

Would I be able to purchase a block with pistons and cam still in it and put on the heads and intake ect... from my old motor and not have any problems? If not, then how serious of problems would I see? Would I suffer performance loss?"
