ok i am on the right board now

ok i am on the right board now was on outboards but any way i have this boat i thought the switch had gone bad but does not seem to be the problam the drive is not working i have an omc selectric drive i ran power to my to wires leading to the drive now i am wondering what parts i need to replace or if i still have some trouble shooting left? when i start the boat the prob cranks a little probably friction or something but i think all the geers are good is there anything else? thank you and also would i just need the magnets and wires?

"How did you connect power to the drive. You should supply 12V+ to 1 wire only. The negative (ground) is the case of the drive.
Did it ever work since you have had the boat? If so, describe how it quit.
Have you checked the lube in the lower unit for water?
Do you have the proper lube (Type C) in the lower unit?"
 
That is exactly what I did and

That is exactly what I did and I got nothing but when I pulled the L/u off the wires were bad can I test the coil by throwin ground and power to it and stick a screwdriver through it or something and it should get polarity right? New to this so unsure and does anyone have frwd/rev coils for sale?
