When running motor out of wate

When running motor out of water with ears on flow very good out of the 2 exit holes. But when running just about 3/4 throttle it seems to have good flow but doesn't flow continuously. Problem or is that correct? Temperature fine running 150 degress.

"Those aren't exit holes. They're relieving excess pressure from your garden hose.
When you rev the engine up, the impeller draws more water and takes everything the garden hose supplies, so there's nothing extra to relieve.

Is that why you have alot of water coming out around exhaust bellows area? To much throttle for muffs?

no, That's just where the water exits. Some exhaust bellows are perforated to let exhaust and water out. So when idling at the dock, it doesn't have to push that extra 12 inches or so deep to get to the propeller.
Makes the engine idle a little smoother.
